Anyone like to WOD outside in the sun? Or rain? Or cold?.

I love to do certain WODs and lifts outside on my driveway. My garage door is 11 feet tall, so i do wall ball shots and HSPUs on it. There are benefits to working out outside: a tan, vitamin D, a tan( woops, didn't i say that already?), cute neighborhood chicks admiring your clean and jerk, cute neighborhood chicks laughing when you kiss pavement. There are also some cons: kissing the pavement( said this already), dropping a loaded barbell( I have bumper plates) and having it start to roll down hill(FYI, don't chase a barbell down the hill), if it's cold getting frostbite or a cold, if it's wet slipping,e tc. Anyway, this could go on. Post what you think. Anyone like to WOD at the park?( I'm talking muscle ups on the monkey bars while all the housewives and their kids stare at you like your a boss- even though I'm not)

I do, except when the sun hits me in the face mid-windmill.

I like some stuff outdoors. Not dragging a barbell and whatnot down to the park for a workout though.

Your sudden use of a bold font for no apparent reason both startles and confuses me.

I don't like it.

I didn't mean to use much bold. Holy crap. Just on the anywhere. I almost gave myself a seizure just by reading it.

I'm a big fan of outdoor WODing, but that may just be a product of necessity from Crossfit during deployments. We'll see when I get home if the sentiment still applies...

Check out the CrossFit Anywhere Blog (WFS) for outdoor workouts. The posts/vids from late 2009 and early 2010 are the most interesting, IMO.

Cold, no. My joints hate it. Screw that.

Outside is fine but I prefer to lift on a nice platform or crude one at least.
