nothing over 10 lb for 2 weeks.
ok to do non-core intensive exercise, i.e. stationary bike, elliptical, etc.
after 2 weeks, ease back into normal routine.
the lifting restriction is to avoid causing a hernia at the trocar (incision) sites.
If the surgeon can use all 5mm trocars or smaller, that would be ideal. occasionally I can do the surgery with 3 instead of 4 incisions. I would not recommend single incision surgery for an athlete, because the single incision is a larger, 3-4cm incision that will also increase risk of hernia in the future. better to have 3-4 smaller incisions.
