Just started PT!!

So after being confined to a recliner to elevate my leg I just started my first PT session. I shattered my left femur so I guess I have a long road ahead of me. Lots of scar tissue (had a GSW) as well that is assuring I will have a heck of a time bending. I got lots of different movements to do to build my strength in my leg as well as help get my knee to bend better. I was at 74 degrees today. My calf and leg is around 5+ cm smaller than my other good leg. Due to my great medical provider it took three weeks to get me into the PT. So I am somewhat behind on what I should or could be at. I am crossing my fingers that I will hit a good groove and get lots of progress.

I asked the question I bet everyone does "how long until I can run"? I wasn't answered though I have hope it will be soon. I now have to deal with the pt and surgeon and surgeon knows best.

Sorry to ramble on folks just thought I would put this out their in case someone had a similar experience.

Re: Just started PT!!

Good luck with recovery!

If you were previously athletic your recovery should be quicker than usual.
