DIY pullup bar about $90

Just made a pullup bar out of black pipe. Cost about $90 at HomeDepot with a military discount. You can do it for $70 if you have the time to cut/thread pipe at the store.

Haven't had a chance to try it out yet but i suspect it will be perfect.

Re: DIY pullup bar about $90

I did something very similar with galvanized pipe. I didn't like the surface of the galvanized, so I painted it with black rustoleum fine textured paint. Much better.

I mounted mine into concrete, and if I did it again I wouldn't add on the support bar, it's overkill. Eight properly drilled and installed concrete screws will keep it stable enough, as long as it isn't hanging down very far from the concrete. C2Bs can get a bit sketchy when the bar is too close to the ceiling.

Or for those who hate building stuff (or just wanna be lazy)... you can buy a fully fabricated pullup bar meant for exactly that for $80+shipping

True. I just checked and yeah it's about $40 also... so i guess your route is still a fair amount cheaper
