Ruck march?

Alright so I am downgrading from a 6/1 to a 3/1 to increase my gains through increased rest and recovery but here is a problem.

The 'Manchu Mile' a mandatory 30 mile ruck march is on my day 3 would this be considered an adequate amount of exercise to count as my 3rd day event?

Specs:
40lbs ruck
6lbs weapon
10lbs water

(More than likely I will also be carrying another member of my platoons ruck like I did on this same event 10 months ago.)

Input?

Re: Ruck march?

Been 20 or so miles before, sounds like a ball buster to me.

Re: Ruck march?

Are you asking if you should do another workout after a 30 mile hike?

Re: Ruck march?

No Eric I am speaking about before hand. Step off is at midnight and I have all day to prepare so was wondering if a WOD would be advisable

Re: Ruck march?

No, another WoD would not be advisable. Concentrate on being rested up for your march.

Re: Ruck march?

Nah, brother. I definitely wouldn't do a WOD prior to that. That's a beast of a workout all on its own.

Hey, if u don't mind me asking, what school is this for?

Re: Ruck march?

No school is a traditional Ruck march to honor the manchu battalion having made the march prior to battle long long time ago.
