Elbow Injury, not getting better

Both of my elbows have something wrong with them, as I cannot do any form of upper body exercises without pain. I'm not 100% sure it's my actual elbow, because I can massage the tricep muscle that is basically right next to it and it's always sore (maybe I'm just experiencing the pain through my elbows?) but either way it's been like this for about 2 months.

The most I went was 16 days without doing any form of exercise to my upper body, and broke it with some light rowing, so nothing strenous. I'm still trying to go about 30 days to see how it feels. I'm not sure if it's a tendonitis issue, an overuse injury or something else. About 2-3 months ago I hurt one of my elbows during a squat clean because I had a bad catch and it tweaked. About 2-3 weeks after that both elbows began hurting and haven't gotten any better.

I realize rest is probably the best method, but 2 months and nothing's better? Is it time to get it checked out, or is there anything anyone can reccommend?

I'd love to get it fixed ASAP because the lower body bias is killing me mentally and I miss actual Crossfit. I'm also running my first ultra in the spring, and since I'm using the CFE/CF programming I'd like to be able to do heavy cleans to help develop those muscles further... Obviously I realize that may not be feasible.

Thanks for any help

Re: Elbow Injury, not getting better

Try ice massage atleast 5 x a day and see what happens. I don't know if its tendonitis or not, but if it is, ice massage will root out the problem.

Re: Elbow Injury, not getting better

If it hurts after a week of rest you should get it checked out. See an orthopedic doc...

There's not enough information in your post for me to even make a guess though so if you want one you're going to have to provide more information.

Sorry. What kind of stuff could I answer for you? I really didn't know where to start. You can PM me if you want and tell me whatever would help and I'll go into detail about it.
