Post Surgical Discectomy

Just curious if anyone has had this proceedure lately and how their recovery went. Im post 3 weeks and have some slight discomfort in my right calf (new pain). Most important is the major pain I was having pre surgery is gone. The only exercise Im doing now is walking (1 mile), pushups and squats (10-20). Very limited in torso flexion secondary to weak back and core strenght.

Re: Post Surgical Discectomy

Have you stretched out your calves and rolled your plantar fascia? Hammies?

If it's not a shooting pain down the leg it's probably unrelated to your lower back...

May need to work on your posterior chain flexiblity/mobility...
