Several new PR's.

So I've dramatically improved my lifts since I started going to an affiliate back in October.

Before October these were my numbers:

Squat: 275
Deadlift: 365
Bench: 225
Overhead Press: 145

In November I set a squat PR of 335.

Then of course I hurt my knee in January. I'm coming back from it now but in the last week I've set these new PR's:

Deadlift: 465
Bench: 255
Overhead Press: 180

I'm pretty jacked about them and hoping they'll keep moving up. I'm going to start working my knee into it again and try to meet my goal of squatting 350 by July 1. I mean it's only 15 pounds more but I'm coming off of an injury.

I do have to give a big shout out to Stacy Jennings at Crossfit Exile for helping me out with this. We'll keep setting PR's as I continue to evaluate my strength training.

My lifts are still weak compared to my bodyweight (255), but that's coming down too.

Good times!

Re: Several new PR's.

Just trying to put the numbers in perspective. I've seen a lot of the taller guys on these boards seemingly have trouble getting their squat numbers up there but yours seems to be doing pretty well. Also you didn't look stout enough to be 255 and short so I figured you must be tall, which you are.

Nice job.

Nice job.

Yeah my squat has a long way to go down. lol.

The main thing my height causes problems for is my bench. My arms are long and the weight has a long way to go down and then back up.

Re: Several new PR's.

Training has been tough since my knee injury. I've been limited on what I can do but I'm starting to get all my abilities back so to speak.

Great job Jason; I'm glad to see that you're having great success at Stacy's box!

How has your rugby performance been doing? Converted any of the other player's yet?
