world record page?
in my opinion, the main site should have a world record page for all the wods.

pretty tough to do that, don't you think?
Every time somebody posts an amazing time on a WOD, tons of people gripe that the ROM is ugly, and the time "shouldn't count." So, unless the WOD in question is being videoed at a CF competition, with judges counting reps and penalizing for sloppy ROM, I don't think this idea is feasible. |

i believe that would encourage specialization. The thing crossfit seams to most greatly avoid. I think people would train specifically to make it on the "world record" page and that would defeat the purpose of using crossfit as a training method. Don't get me wrong, i myself would love to know the times for the best of the best but i think specialists would ruin the point of it.
Also, I bet you wouldn't see any of the top crossfitters at the top of any of the records specifically because they do not specialize. |
