Are the 2009 games going to be aired on TV?

Hi Everyone,

I had heard that this year the games were going to be aired on ESPN. Is there any truth to that?

I also heard that it was a possibility. But it is not going to happen. I can't remember the exact reasons behind the decisions. What would be awesome is if they could stream it so we could pick it up on the internet!

Very timely. I had a conversation about this today. There will not be streaming internet video because of significant technological/bandwidth issues that cannot be overcome in a timely fashion. There will be updates throughout the day on the Games site and probably a wrap-up on CF Radio.

Tune in next year for ESPN!

They won't be able to stream it up to the Internet and then relay using another program to distribute? Something poor quality like screen capture using livestream or something would work

You heard slightly incorrectly. It's actually going to be aired on Spike TV, and the CrossFit Men's champ is going to be featured on their 'Deadliest Warrior' show next season. No word on who the champ's victim will be yet.
