How is my diet?
Basically, its a loose Paleo diet but here it is:
Breakfast: Onion, bell pepper, and cheese omlette Bowl of oatmeal 2 Glasses of orange juice Snack: 24 Almonds 3 kinds of fruit 8 oz glass of 2% milk Lunch: Salad containing lettuce, onion, carrot slices, cuccumber, hard boiled egg, cheese, and ranch dressing Glass of Apple or Grape juice Snack: Same as above snack Supper: 4-5 oz lean meat 3 kinds of vegetables that usually fill up 3/4 of the plate Glass of apple or grape juice Other: Try to cut out as much sugar as possible. No sodas, just bottled water throughout the day. I've been on this diet since the 3rd week of December and follow the WOD. Doing this, I have lost 33 lbs! Currently, I am 5'8, 175 lbs, 18 years old, and male. |

Great job on the weight loss. I assume that you want to lose weight.
The main thing that jumps out at me is the amount of fruit juice, especially coupled with the high intake of fruit. I'd replace it with water, or possibly milk depending on your goals (if trying to lose weight, go with the water). You might also try to replace some of the fruit with more vegetables, and try to add some more protein to your lunch (assuming your not eating 3-4 hb eggs in your salad). |

I would cut out the fruit juice...too much sugar.

Thank you! Actually, I'm happy with staying between 175-170. My goal now is just to lose body fat.

I only see 5 oz of meat in the whole day. I would up this.
I agree that the fruit juice should also go. Unless you squeeze it yourself. By hand. |

Ok, so cut out the juice...gotcha. Is the orange juice bad too? I am getting protein from eggs in the morning, a glass of milk with each snack (8 grams) and almonds (6 grams), and the meat in the evening. Is that still not enough? How about for lunch, instead of a regular salad, I put in some lean meat such as chicken caesar salad. Maybe some tuna or something? Would that be adequate?

I just wanted to add more the reasoning behind the stop with all that juice, which I totally agree with. First, read the label on that juice, yes, even the OJ. You might pass out, lots of sugar and calories. Yea, it might be sugar from oranges or whatever, but it is still high GI and is going to have the same affect as sugar sugar and raise your insulin levels and prevent weight/fat loss. You are only getting away with it b/c you are 18. Regardless, cut that sugar and you should lose more fat and feel better throughout the day too.
