Where is everyone?

Is it just my perception, or have the message boards here seen a significant drop in activity? If that's true, what do you think is the cause: increased moderation, people leaving CrossFit for something else, people getting fed up with the message board, or something else?

Re: Where is everyone?

I know that for me personally there are a lot of issues that are being rehashed. Some are important, others not so important, and some are just uninteresting. I doubt that there is a significant shift in the number of people that log on to the message board, but I don't have a way to track that... HQ does though

311 people on the boards... just before I get off work. Sounds about right to me.

Sounds about right to me too.

Regarding the "increased" moderation...not sure how accurate that statement is. I guess it depends what you mean by it. I don't want to put words in your mouth or go down a path that you did not intend to. I will say that the entire Mod team is committed to upholding extremely high standards of participation on this board. Most people see that, realize it, and appreciate it. There are plenty of other forums out there with the "Wild West Mentality" of anything goes.

There are more Moderators on the board now, but I don't think the level of overall moderation has increased.
