Re: Jenna's new gym, new life, new log
Wednesday 081008
"Ryan" 5 rounds of: 7 muscle ups 21 burpees For time I can't really do muscle ups (I sorta got one once but that was before i lost my gym this summer), so I subbed 3 pullups and 3 dips for each MU, so that it would be 21 of everything. 31:00 NOT chest to bar pullups today. I don't know why - I was just stoked to feel as good as I did doing regular pullups today. It's been hard to get back into it. I also can't do more than, like, 3 dips in a row. So, I used a rubber band to help. It was probably too easy, because I could just hang out in the bottom of the dip and the band was supporting me there. But, it did get hard and was a good workout. Burpees were the hardest part, but I did them all chest to the ground. Oh, I went running yesterday. I forgot to write about it. Tuesday 081007 Week 4 of running homework from Brian macKenzie: 4 X 90 second intervals at a cadence of 100 1 running drill 1 X 6 minutes at a cadence of 94 I feel so good running and just want to go run more, but I am just going to stick with the homework from the running cert. I have this week and then 2 more to complete. Then, there is a 5k race at the end of the 6th week, so I am going to do it and see what kind of time I can do while maintaining good POSE form. |

Re: Jenna's new gym, new life, new log
You're welcome Jenna! The gym looks great (I checked out the website)! Good work on Ryan and the running homework. I need to get myself to one of those running/tri certs! Looks like it's worth the $$$!

Yep, sure do! I'm one of those people that says they are gonna do something, and then does it. I absolutely love owning a gym, and training people, and enhancing people's lives through exercise. It's so rewarding. Maybe someday i'll even make money at it! (it's looking promising!) |

Hey, good to see you back here, Jenna. Congratulations on the affiliate, outside Bozetown no less (I'm totally jealous of your setup). You'll do great out there. Glad to know you'll be on the boards again.

Re: Jenna's new gym, new life, new log
Thanks, Patrick! If you are ever in town, come in for a visit
![]() Yesterday, WOD 081009 "Erin" 16:25 I think that's a solid time. I only had 20lb dumbbells though, so it was a little light. Still tough though. I got a bad blister on my left hand with 6 pullups to go, so it was tough to get those last 6 in without tearing. and THEN, this morning while demoing the kipping pullup, I totally ripped that blister open and it is DEEP!!!! Today I'm going to do "Mr. Joshua", only I think I am going to row instead of run because it is snowing out, and very icy. Also, I am going to scale the DL to 155 I think. I have never done a workout with 155lb DL (like Diane) so even though I should probably scale 250 to more like 175 lbs, I don't know if my strength is up there quite yet. I'll report on that later! |
