Crossfit...Looks amazing!

Hi all,

As you can probably imagine i am new here and really looking forward to trying todays WOD when i get home from work.

Slight bit of background:

I am a competitive swimmer, only County level, and have been training in swimming for 10 years now. I am now looking to improve over all areas, strength, speed, endurance, agility etc and i feel this is the place to come.

So a quick question; Are there any other competitive swimmers on the board? and if so how did doing crossfit effect your performance in the pool?

cheers,

Sean

I think the experimental WOD with 95# Thrusters in the deep end ended badly, but that was before my time...

Actually, I quite like kettlebell pool work outs. snatch and swing through in the shallow end, walks for time in the deep end.

Re: Crossfit...Looks amazing!

Ha ha ha - cheers for the responces so far guy, made my day a bit brighter.

I do enough work in the pool (well, i can never do enough) and my land training is definatly seperate. So sorry, no kettlebells in the pool, im sure my coach would kill me for that!

So yeah, original question still stands to any competitive swimmers out there in the crossfit world. how have the WODs affected your performance in the pool?
