Partial muscle up
Well, I got my rings put up just yesterday. Did some work on it and today I tried a muscle up.
The good news; it was slow, controlled, and no kipping whatsoever. The bad news; I had my feet elevated on a box (archery sack, actually). It wasn't a full muscle up, but then again, I don't know how to kip, so it could be considered a kipping muscle up with a box replacing the kip! ![]() Couldn't do it again, my false grip wasn't being very nice to me and I couldn't seem to get the technique right again. |

Re: Partial muscle up
Nice job! Keep practicing and you'll be able to do one without assistance soon.

Re: Partial muscle up
Thanks. I think that I will practice my false grip with false grip pullups and continue to do muscle ups with assistance. I could probably do a full muscle up right now, but I just don't get the technique yet. False grip was definitely a limiting factor.
