Jesse, the download issue is there because I'm guessing you're using FireFox as your browser. If you use IE, there's no problem. I only use IE for Windows updates and crap like that.
As for the pushups, truthfully, I'm sure there are plenty of people (CFers included) whose pushups are worse. That is what happens (in my judgement) to good exercises when time/power output is the *only* guage considered. I personally hold myself to strict form standards and my output continues to rise. It makes me wonder what Guinness counts as a pushup--if they say elbows to 90 degrees, a cursory slow-motion review of that clip would definitely reduce his record. Personally, I don't count a pushup unless my nose touches the ground--and that's using pushup handles! |

Garrett: He's just getting into a push-up starting position and then wiggling. That's all. I can't believe you think plenty of CF'ers have worse form. How, exactly, could it be worse?

Yeah, I figured it was a Firefox issue, considering it said I had to download IE 6, MSN, etc. etc....I'll try it on my OOOLLLD IE and see if it works ;)
Edit: Yeah, it worked...jeeze those WERE horrible. I would hope that even with the increased power-output of a Crossfit workout everybody here is doing a bit better than that! Mine are always full ROM, chest to floor every rep...I would have SUCH good times if I counted pushups like that! (Message edited by gear on December 30, 2005) |

I'm not sure how official guiness is anymore.. it might be more about getting the guiness name out there in the press and less about the actual record being broken.
I can't see it either: what kind of video actually requires MSIE to view? MSIE isn't a video format AFAIK. |

Those weren't pushups, they were some kind of nonspecific muscle spasm.
