Hey all-
I've been struggling with relapses from a couple injuries that had been plaguing me for a while. I'd been diagnosed with biceps tendonitis and anterior impingement syndrome in my left shoulder from a martial arts injury, and what appears to be overuse/muscle imbalance-related issues with my left hip. I'd tried ART, massage, chiropractic, PT, and napropathy, and none have had a lasting impact. Rest, deep tissue massage, and ultrasound were effective in eliminating the pain/inflammation, but then even after "re-habbing" it doesn't take long after returning to martial arts for the pain to come back. I need to get these things sorted out. Could anyone recommend a good sports injury person in the Chicago north/northwest burbs? |

Matthew,
See if you can do a Google search to find the team doctors for the local pro teams. Those docs usually have private practices as well. I recently posted about my orthopoedic surgeon. He used to be a team doc for the KC Chiefs. He really "gets" what my athletic life means to me and works with that. Obviously, he's seen his fair share of sports-related injuries. |
