Florsie,I have a pullup bar set to about 9 inches above my reach in the rafters so I have to jump to grab them and get a full stretch for the pullups. The bar is clamped with brackets bolted to steel plate bars.
The rings are set in brackets right up in the rafters at a different station to make full use of the height.
I'm also putting in a climbing wall just as another idea for adding to your wod station.metoliusclimbing.com has the instructions for building one.

:kicking0:Thank you all of you have been so helpful. I am soooooo lookin forward in making this happen. I really like the climbing wall idea...I know first things first my bar, box, rings (dont know when I will be ready for them) Once I get back in the swing of things I will have to post my aggressive training I miss doing. It consist of a tree trunk, 75 lb vest, sledghammer, 200ft firehose, 5 story stairwell, the entire length of the first floor of indoor garage, 100 lb sandbag...a few other things well now you know why I am still single

Peter....I wish I could set up the rope station however, my tree trunk only stands if I stand it up. :whip0000:
I usually tie it to another object and use it to catch my sledghammer........:bangin:
