Time to keep a log :-)

Cindy (first time) - 10 rounds, but with some big modifications.

Set 1 and 2 - 'real' pullups
Set 3-10 jumping (mostly broken)

Set 1-6 - knee push-ups (guess where my weakness is?)
Set 7-10 - wall push-ups, BARELY

Oh well, I got through it :-)

Did Fran today instead of RX'ed. Took 8:48 with 20lb dumbells and tons of weight taken off in the pull-ups. I am beat from the weekend of climbing after 5 weeks off.

Friday - Did the WOD from the other day that I missed (I am not ready for a total yet).

3 rounds of 500m rowing and 50 wall ball.

I used a 4lb ball, and averaged about 2:10 for each 500m. A total of 18:02. I think that overall fitness is getting in the way of better times. I just get winded and tired in the middle and have to take breaks. I can't decide if a slightly slower approach might be better and allow me to push more consistently. I think though, that I am better to go as I am, and take some breaks. Suits my personality better.

WOD, but modified

5 sets of 30 pull-ups and 25 wall balls.

I used a 6lb (I think) medicine ball, and used 85lbs assists on the pull-ups. Most sets were unbroken. I definitely could have used a heavier medicine ball, but I just wasn't sure. Next time!!

Ran to the Y only to find out that summer hours mean it closes at 5. Ran home... worked out in the basement gym of my building (which would usually be enough, but my triceps are WAY weak and I need the gravitron machine!!).

Sub'd 120 jumping pull-ups and 120 tricep pulldowns at 30lbs (it was the closest sub I could think of). I probably could have gone heavier as I didn't break any of my sets.

karin...how about dips off a bench. if its too ez with feet on floor, elevate them on a bench. still too ez? add weight plates on your lap.
just make sure you think of "scraping your back" along the bench as you lower. lots of people move foward away from the bench and that lets you cheat with your legs.
