I can think of quite a few MIL scenarios where I wish that I would have had something like it...

Yep, me too. Still get woken up late at night to go to crime scenes in hostile areas. Usually the adrenalin keeps you going until sunrise, then things start slowing down. One of my Academy classmates died two weeks ago. He was out on a case all night and worked all day on paperwork. On his way home, he must of fell asleep and ran a stop sign...T-boned and killed. Sad, left behind a wife and two sons, access to somthing like this would have helped.
