Hey everyone,
I've looked through the boards for a while now and it seemed about time to really take part in this awesome community. I've been WODing for almost half a year and Crossfit has definitely changed the way I think about fitness and pushed me over all my weight/strength/endurance plateaus already (first muscle-up achieved just last weekend!). My fitness background consists of lots of running and taekwon do in hight school and more recently judo, jiu-jutsu, thai boxing, and swimming. Been lifting with my dad all along also (I've gotten him into crossfit and olympic lifting recently as well). I've got a decently outfitted home gym that my recruited friends are quickly outgrowing and at the University of Virginia, where I will be a third year, I've survived at their globo gyms. Just finished reading Enter the Zone and currently working on Starting Strength to improve my big lifts. Now I'm looking forward to picking everyones brain here on the forums!
Ben

Consider using paleo food guidelines with the zone.

I second what Kevin said. Paleo Zone is the way to go. I find it easier to manage and I get better results (read better leaness and better performance).

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to see how much of the Zone/Paleo Zone I can pull off at the dining hall.
