Where do you get the ropes that you are climbing? I thought that I had a 1.5" rope from a condemned grade school-but someone beat me to it.

Not sure where you live. But if it's close to an ocean, try looking for a marine supply store. You can usually pick some up for a decent price at one of those places.

Pacific Fibre will be my next source for climbing rope.

The key to searching Google for climbing rope is to put "manila climbing rope" in the search. The word "manila" specifies the most common material and eliminates the myriad mountaineering links that will complicate your search.
