I'm don't entirely agree with this method of measurement. Injury rate and ability to improve all athletes, as opposed to producing a few excellent examples should be considered. Still, this is an idea that Crossfit does put forward a lot so it seems fair to apply it here.

Right, and the issue with that quote is that it's bragging that CF athletes can defeat non-CF athletes at the "sport" of CF, a sport that few professional athletes care about. Which makes the quote no more relevant than the Steelers bragging about how they could dominate the Lakers at football.
