This is the set I have been looking at, it will give you 308 pounds of bumper plates for under $500.
This site looks amazing. Prices are great. You've had no problem with your bumpers so far?

Re: Bumper Plates

Courious (can't spell) Is the garage gym plates you talking about the same manufacture as the Pendlay set? I wonder what it cost to ship them? I just got my pendlay set and so far I love them. I aslo have wright rubbers set which are fine, but the way that the new plates fit and perform (and bounce way more evenly) is superior.

I think they manufacture Pendlay. I think the shipping quote was $340.
So you like your Pendlay plates over Wright plates? I was looking at the site Christian Fitness Factory. They deal with a few different Manufactures.

Re: Bumper Plates

Ya man. Like I said, there is nothing wrong with the wright set. But, the pendlay set is way better made, has steel collars that aren't beveled on the inside, etc. Only had them for a week though. Plus I switched to kilos and bought the fractional metal plate set. I really like it. The Pendlay set is $665 total including shipping.

Re: Bumper Plates

Guess i shouldn't say way better made. Just better design. If I had to do it over I would just buy that set from the start. But if money is super tight, you decide.

Re: Bumper Plates

Andrew,

The new inserts on the Wright Bumpers are steel rather than aluminum. So nice!

Best,

Jon

Jon,

That's awesome! How much weight fits on a bar? The steel insert is the main reason I chose the Hi-Temps, but I'm in the market for more weight. Can the guy from Wright (Jason?) chime in the prices?

Re: Bumper Plates

Allen,

The price will not increase with the newly designed insert. As for the width of the plate, that has been addressed and is in the process of being redesigned as well.

Jason,

Even better! I think I'll wait for the redesigned plates. Keep us updated. In the meantime, I'll be waiting anxiously.

When do you expect the redesigned plates to come out?
