I felt the need to do something quick powerful and overhead, so I chose to do "Grace". This was the second time I did "Grace". The first time I came in around 7:30?? I would have to go back and check. However, today, I did much better!!

30--- C&J 135# 5:01!!!!! PR yeeha!!

I did a long warm up and finally wrapped my mind around it and went for it. So the next time I expect to do even better.

Rest day tomorrow.
Keith,

You are just freakin amazing, Dude!
A (basically) five-minute Grace; incredible.
A (basically) two and one-half minute PR; priceless!

You totally can beat your last time. I think it's part mental. Think about your highest Clean and your highest PJ and then put it into perspective.

Let me know when you do it. It took me a good 30 minutes to mentally prepare before I started. next time its sub 5!

Sure, I can beat 7:06 (looked it up), but it's hard to draw confidence from my 200# C&J, when my death by 135# C&J a few weeks back went little over 5 rounds. I think I've gotten more efficient with my setup since then, however, so I expect I can do it in under 6 minutes, but 5:00 seems a long way off still. You killed that.

Nice:stir: by Big Brother Jay-why not make the late-April trip to Jax? St. Augustine another hour south, might be a nice place to unwind after the Games....

Congrats on the Grace improvement, too. My first Grace was right around 7minutes and change, and my second was right about five minutes. Keep embracing those heavy days, and you'll make another minute jump (at least) on your next attempt.

And all this 400m talk has me headed to the track.....sorry no video though...

I totally agree Brad. If they had age divisions to level the playing field I would do it. Cuz we both know we are pretty damn fit for being in our mid-40's.
