Re: Weight Gain?

Its funny how much better people's genetics get when they train hard and eat right for significant periods of time. 99.99% of healthy people can gain or lose weight. The problem is they either don't know the correct approach or are not willing to do it.

Re: Weight Gain?

I dropped 10lbs then re-gained them in the last 9 months. It was definitely a loss of fat followed by a gain of lean body mass.

Re: Weight Gain?

Awesome, glad to see others with the same kind of results. I'm 6' 211 right now, I joked with my wife the other day saying, "if I keep doing Crossfit, I'll be 225 by Christmas."

Re: Weight Gain?

I started CF at 175, 15% BF. 1.5 years later I'm 205, 15% BF. I just make sure I eat approximately the amount to support my muscle.

Re: Weight Gain?

For the guys who have gained muscle since starting CF, was that just doing the WOD's, or supplementing with any other stuff as well?

Re: Weight Gain?

Hey, just wanted to bring this thread back from the dead and see if there is anybody else out there. I have a few questions for anybody who has a response:

*Have you gained weight on Crossfit (3 on 1 off)?
*How much / what did you eat?
*How much of it was muscle, and how much of fat?
*How has your training progressed?

Re: Weight Gain?

since finding crossfit ive gained about 29lbs (1 more to reach 200!), with same waist size, but i can hardly fit into my uniform because my thighs and @$$ have gotten huge. i actually got two compliments today on my size and PR' on Power cleans (230, 15lb PR!).
So Yeah, gaining muscle is simply about eating. im a huge fan of red meat, butter, and whole milk so calories werent too much of an issue for me!
P.S. i gained 9lbs in a 1 month SS cycle
