There are just some constants that every elite lifter has, regardless of "style." They sweep the bar in at lift off, they wait over the bar for as long as possible, the 2nd pull is more like a twitch than a jump (because it really is just a stretch reflex than a conscious effort), they immediately change directions (or change while initiating the 2nd pull), and they catch the bar as fast as possible.
There is no substitute for strength, and no excuse for the lack of it.

Well, this much is true. We've been pretty much going to the point of muscle failure to get it all fixed. Which it mostly has been now (yay for me) but it's been challenging. heh.
