Re: Carwin vs Brock OFF!

Another interim heavyweight champ? Great? And we get to listen to Brock come back and go on about how the other guy is a fake champion too. I like Brock, but I really don't want to go through that same song and dance again.

Why do you automatically assume it was steroids related?

Brock Lesnar has returned home [wfs] after having surgery for an infection in his intestinal tract.

Larry Novotny, a friend of Lesnar, on Tuesday told ABC affiliate KSAX-TV that the UFC heavyweight champion is recuperating after an 11-day stay in a local hospital where he underwent several tests and “a minor surgery.” Lesnar’s primary home is in Alexandria, Minn.

Novotny said Lesnar may need to undergo further surgery, but would see how the healing process went. At that point, a decision would be made whether Lesnar would be able to continue fighting.
Hmm. Sounds like they had to pull a horseshoe out of there.

Edit: This is interesting. An analysis by the Mayo Clinic reports there are 3 types of surgery [WFS] that Brock may have have had. The most 'minor' is a primary bowel resection. From there it gets worse. This is serious stuff.

Primary bowel resection. In this procedure, your surgeon removes the diseased part of your intestine and then reconnects the healthy segments of your colon (anastomosis). This allows you to have normal bowel movements.

None of that sounds good. I would imagine it is going to be a long road back into the cage, if ever.

Could be one million and one other reasons (and it is doubtful that steroids by themselves will cause this serious of a condition, whatever it is).

Please stop believing the media; research is the key.

I don't even know where to start on this comment. Geez.

Brock has/had something called Diverticulitis (sp?). It's pretty serious, and sometimes you recover fully, other times it affects the rest of your life.
