Here's the finished product. The rubber end plates have just enough tackiness to them that they stick to your forearms a bit and allow for a very sturdy hold. The dumbbell handles from www.gymparts.com (everybody safe) fit inside 1.5 inch plumbing pipe which you must cut to fit inside the width of however many plates you want to use. The pipe keeps the plates from shifting and once you bolt the end plates to the dumbell handles you can tighten things down enough to make it a very solid rubber stone.

Adjustable stones. Ya gotta love it.

nice work, eugene. i'd love to have a space to work out (and tinker) in. i'm getting tired of how crowded my gym is.

I wish i had a pair of heavy adjustable stones....but i want mine made of iron. that's right, iron stones.
