NLRB's attacks franchise model of business

While geared at the restaurant industry (and McDonald's in particular) the NLRB's stance on franchises could have a far reaching impact affecting CrossFit franchisees as well. WS/FF

CrossFit is not a franchise, meaning they have no say on how individual affiliates run their businesses.

The article you posted talks about redefining a franchiser as a joint employer, which would help union bargaining. I don't see how CrossFit HQ would ever be defined as a joint employer of every affiliate, based on their current business model.
