Re: Review My Butterfly Pullups

From this angle it looks like a lot of them were short of chin above bar. Might be the angle.

Re: Review My Butterfly Pullups

Form is decent and you've figured out the rhythm.

Yes, a few were short but not once you got the rhythm.

However, you didn't get full extension at the bottom unless your arms don't lock out at 180 degrees and you have a natural bend in to your elbows.

It's also slow but with practice it'll get better. Keep on practicing it with good form.

Re: Review My Butterfly Pullups

Thanks! Should I do more strict pull-ups to increase my numbers for butterflies?

Re: Review My Butterfly Pullups

All of your butterfly's are no reps. ALL OF THEM. Your chin never goes over the top of the bar and your elbows are never straight at the bottom. Also can see your feet so i cant tell if they go behind your body each time.

Your kipping pullups are all good reps (Depending on foot position).

Re: Review My Butterfly Pullups

You are hunched over from the start, you need to get your back in a much better position.

Your hips rise too fast relative to your back straight off the ground.

Honestly, that needs to go back to the drawing board - do some work from the hang and with a PVC and figure out your positions. Don't do anything snatch touch and go until you can establish good, consistent form on a single.
