~What Doesn't Kill Me Only Makes Me Stronger~ Lindsay's Log

Hey Everyone! I'm new to crossfit and so far I really like it. I started 2 weeks ago but the first week I mostly learned how to do everything correctly. So this was my first full week. I'm a very small person, I'm 5'0 and starting out I weight 115 lbs. I don't really have a weight goal in mind I mostly just want to be in shape and look good

Today's WOD was:

120 Single Unders - (because I can't do Double Unders yet.. I either don't jump high enough or swing the rope fast enough.. who knows.. I'll work on it
30 Box Jumps - those are not fun!
20 Kettle Bell Swings - These I had a hard time with.. I think it was because I've never done them before.. I only used 20 lbs

So I've figured out that Xfit not only kicks my butt but also beats me up too.. lol I have bruises on my knees that don't seem to be going away.. oh well!

I also realized that I wasn't dating my posts..

June 30, 2010 - WOD
Warm up

Planks - 30s each side, 30s sit ups

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Front Squat - 45#
Handstand Pushups

Handstand pushups were hard I felt like I was going to fall on my face which actually happened a few times.. Hey I tried!

Backwards Lunges #20
KB Pushups - I subbed weighted balls instead because I only used one KB instead of 2 like some because we had too many people in class.

Very very happy the gym was back open to work out. However, we had to do pull ups again today!! BLAH! I think I did a little better this time though..

Today's WOD:

"DB Fran"

21-15-9

Thrusters #15 db
Pullups - blue band

Time - 9:03

Eh I didn't come in last this time but I also didn't do what was required so to me it doesn't count.. everything takes progress though!

Warm up - Tabada Run - 4.0 Speed, 12.0 Incline

Power Snatch - 75 for time required weight was 45# but I used 30#

Time - 11:03

This was my first time to do Power Snatches in a WOD so I mostly worked on form. I'm very excited because I'm starting to see some results!

Today's workout was fun!

Today's WOD:

1) Warm-up

2) DB Bench Press
5X7 going up in weight 5# until you reach your limit.. lol I'm was only 20# I didn't get very far.

3) WOD "Annie"
50-40-30-20-10
DBL Unders
Sit-ups

Time - 12:15

I did singles instead of doubles so I had to do 150-120-90-60-30 single unders instead of double unders. Still working on those, if anyone knows some kind of trick to them let me know! lol
