snatch and front squat check

http://www.youtube.com/user/jshep08#p/a/u/0/2OaT6E215hQ wfs (at least with the sound off)

here are some snatches at 115 and front squats 225.

what do you think I need to work on? I know I need to get more flexable.

Thanks

Re: snatch and front squat check

On the snatches, go slower from the floor, and accelerate from the knees up... this isnt all thats wrong, but i think doing this will fix a lot of it.

On the front squats, go deeper.

Re: snatch and front squat check

I only watched the first 10 or 15 seconds of your clean video, cause youtube is messing up my computer tonight for some reason... but, i think if you slow down off the floor, try much harder to set your back at the start, then really try to accelerate at all times above the knees, it will fix a lot of what your doing wrong.

Re: snatch and front squat check

I just watched both vids, and totally agree with Glenn, make sure you're arching the back off the floor. On the push press, you are actually performing a power jerk by rebending the legs to catch the weight. A push press should be dip/drive and press the weight up without rebending the knees.

Re: snatch and front squat check

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the advice.

I know I need to work on flexibility a lot. Any good hamstring and hip flexor stretches you can suggest?
