Re: New Rippetoe articles...

just finished the incremental increase article. i thought it was pretty interesting/respectful how his business model is not only effective marketing (keeping the non-lazy clientele) but its a legitimate way of training. solid mix of honesty and quality progress that i don't think is seen too often in gyms anymore.

Re: New Rippetoe articles...

Once again RIP delivers the comedy. The funniest line in the entire article:

Do you not see that an athlete with a 200 lb. press, a 300 lb. clean, a 400 lb. squat, and a 500 lb. deadlift has a stronger “core” than your runner who can just manage to do a Standing Reverse Wood-chop with a 2 kg medicine ball? Where did you manage to find a 2 kg medicine ball anyway?

Re: New Rippetoe articles...

They had those 2kg balls at the university gym I worked out in :S
And it was fascinating watching the trainers teach their clients the wood-chop movements with the ball.

Great (and hilarious) stuff from him as usual. He has a way of getting to the "core" of the issue.
