Going on 1 month. W/ pics

So.....I have been CrossFitting and eating a Paleo diet for about a month now. I have never felt this good before in my life. I have more energy then ever before and feel strong. I worked out at a 24 hour fitness for about 7 months before starting CrossFit and could never go back. So here is a little info about me.

5'8/22 y/o
Was: 207# when I started
Now: 193# currently

Pull-ups: 12 dead-hang; no kipping before
Pull-ups: 14 dead-hand; at least 16 kipping

I think the results are pretty good so far. And I know that as CrossFitters we are not worried about how we look but I do think there is some improvement in my body composition too. Any thoughts?

Smile, man! You're looking great! Keep up the good work.

Remember, chase performance, body composition will follow.

Thanks. Yeah I kinda forget to smile in those pictures. Ha ha. I keep telling myself that it's only been one month and that this is my new way of life to keep myself from worrying about my body composition. It's a different mentality then I'm used to but I'm getting it slowly. I've never felt this strong before though. I'm loving ever second of CrossFit. Oh and Paleo is amazing. I can actually eat real food.

That IS a great line! I'll have to remember that.
I keep telling people that tak of starting crossfit that this is not a weight loss plan...although that will happen in due time. This is a lifestyle change, not a weight loss gimic.

Re: Going on 1 month. W/ pics

So I thought I would give an update as to how things are going. I'm 3 months in and after the initial shock to my body of my eating and workout habits things have really taken off. Here are some of my benchmarks all as Rx'D

Helen - 11:30 CTB(down 2 minutes from first time)
Jackie - 11:42 CTB(down 1 minute)
Fran - 9:42 CTB(First time doing it at 95#)
Murph - 54:07 CTB(First time ever doing Murph was happy to be under an hour)

Besides that I'm down to 180# after a starting weight of 208#. Also thought I'd give a photo update and comparison.

I have included shot from before CrossFit and at my current 3 month mark. All I have to say is thank you CrossFit and the amazing trainers at CrossFit Simi.

hey hey, easy on the sweater. It doesn't look good without the sweater unless you're fit. That's what I keep telling myself at least.... lol
