Re: Kimbo?

So we pretty much saw that Kimbo is a joke. If he faces any decent competitor he is going to get a serious beatdown.

Re: Kimbo?

Now now...he does have some pretty decent boxing skills and he somehow managed to keep pushing on even though he was gassed...he won't be winning any belts w/ that complete lack of a ground game but i definitely wouldn't call him a joke

Re: Kimbo?

He showed what we all know- He is inexperienced and would get dominated by anyone with with mediocre skills and a little intelligence. I was kind of surprised at how gassed he was. That is priority one if you lack the skills.

Re: Kimbo?

HE TAPPED! You can even see dude trying to tell the ref, who either didn't see it or ignored it. What a bunch of BS.

Re: Kimbo?

I was all for Kimbo until...Finally, someone has said it. HE TAPPED, without a doubt. He completely tapped out. The rest of the fight was void. And what was with standing them up when Kimbo was getting whomped on? Lastly, what was with that guys ear?

I suspect a fixed fight, when JT was dropping serious elbows in the 2nd, the ref threatened to stand them up?!?! I believe Gary Shaw had this one fixed to further promote Elite XC, but besides the lawler fight, and the female fight, pretty much a primetime version of BET's Iron Ring. It was a joke and did nothing in seperating the preconcieved notion in the average persons head that MMA is on the same level as proffessional wrestling. Boos to CBS and EliteXC.

BTW you commented on his ear, what about him slapping the ref right after the stoppage, almost as funny as Phil Baroni going for a single on the ref after his stoppage, hilarious

Re: Kimbo?

I know they are trying to hype Kimbo because of he is an internet phenomenon with his streetfighting vdeos, but why is someone with only 3 professional fights headlining a card on national television and a championship fight #2 on the card?
