Congrats Scott!!!

I've not had the good fortune to meet you in person yet but from what I've seen around theboard you are a kind, and intelligent person....hard to find these days.
All the best to you!
Robb

Thanks everyone! And Robb, thank you...I've noticed that the people on this site are incredibly sincere and friendly. It's rare to find such a forum. And I plan to one day get to Cali for a week or so to do some CFing with the gurus.

As for CrossFitting together....let's just say that working out isn't a big thing for her (As in she can't even do a normal pushup...one of those girls that's never had to worry about eating right or working out to stay "in shape"). I'm trying to get her into it, but it's a delicate issue with females. She's coming around on the eating and actually admitted that she feels better when she leaves South Bend after a couple days of eating my relatively Zoneish meals. And she's getting off the Cokes.

Scott congratulations......

I know exactly what you mean by the CF being a sensitive subject with the G-friend/wife....I have almost talked my wife into trying a very scaled down version of a WOD....good luck

Same as you guys. My wife hears me grunting and heaving down in the basement and she says, "You want me to do THAT!?!"

Scott,

My wife won't do CrossFit with me either. I think there might actually be a related thread on this.

We have a mixed marriage. I'm insane and she isn't .

Barry's right about this thread.
Here it is. http://www.crossfit.com/discus/messages/20/5581.html
I started it after my wife got curious. She did a WOD that featured thrusters, pull ups, and rows. Haven't seen her do much after that, but she does use the medicine ball and weights more than she used to!
I'm just afraid she'll get stronger and start kicking my hiney!

Ron, let's be realistic...we may be stronger than our women, but they can ALWAYS kick our hiney!

Congratulations Scott!!!!!

To those of you who are posting about the challenges of getting your partner enthused about the WOD I have a message...
While I feel your pain, I wish you'd all be silent. You're giving my fiancee material to say see their partners don't do this stuff. I'd like to hear from people who have partners that do the WOD. Thanks
