I'll get 3.0s at the outlet stores for $40-$50 all day. No way I'm spending that kinda money on a general purpose shoe. Bad move IMO. It's like they want to test the depth of the Crossfitter's pocket. Well, they're gonna find out quick that they overshot by $80 or so.
This IS the company that has $165 CF shorts. Those shoes are almost a bargain compared to those...

No doubt. But here is their thinking. They are selling THOUSANDS each month at $120/$140 (for customs), so why wouldn't they stretch that and try a $200? They will still sell a good amount of them.

Plus in retail, sometimes setting a crown jewel price point like that makes the normal priced ones sell better believe it or not. People see the $120 now, and some are gun shy still. They see the $200, and they feel a LOT better about paying $120.

Agreed. It's not like they are discontinuing the $120 nano.

My Metcons are sitting at the border waiting for me to pick them up. Paid $108 for them.

$200 for these ? No thanks. And I was a huge shoe collector at one point, many pairs of Retro J's including some people would die for, had '94 cement 3's and both pairs of 99 IV's.

Has anybody else noticed they are no longer selling these, and Rich isn't using them in regionals? They pulled them super quick.

They were supposed to be limited edition so I am not surprised that they are no longer for sale. As for Rich not using them, it really looks like he prefers the US edition 4.0 since he wears these most of the time even when he is not working out.

Re: Reebok CrossFit Compete 6:14 shoe (the Froning Nano)

I think the Froning shoe has a striking resemblance to the Nano 5. Check out the striping on the outsole of the heal for instance. I really want a pair of 5's, but I think the Nike's are calling my name a little more right now since I just got a pair of 4's a few month's back.
