Wendler Up 5 Back 3???

http://www.jimwendler.com/ (WFS except for language).

On the Feb 17 article, they talk about changing the Training Max over a 10 week cycle from 270 up to 310 with the 5 up and 3 back method.

I've never read this in any of the 5/3/1 Books. Maybe I misread it? Can someone lay it out for me?

Re: Wendler Up 5 Back 3???

He's referring to the concept of increasing weight for 5 cycles, then resetting your lifts (possibly back 3 cycles worth), and going again.

You use a basic 531 format with some programmed resets, up 5 back 3.
He goes over this in his books.

Re: Wendler Up 5 Back 3???

That's what I thought, but I'm confused by the end of 10 weeks?

5 cycles forward and 3 cycles back would be 8 cycles x 4 weeks=32 weeks??

And they said do that twice???
