Its not about the time, thats merely a reference point for yourself in future attempts.Hit the WOD or throw together your our own "Heavies" "Tripplets/Couplets" and "Chippers" and see where diversified High Intensity training takes you.
Enjoy |

Hey Zev:
Well, Andrew is right . . . it's not about how you did relative to anyone else, it's your own improvement yada yada yada. (Sorry.) OK, I'll be serious. Andrew *is* right, and, I assure you, you will get better than that, and, after a few months on CF, you will be blown away by two different things: (a) how far you have come (b) how far you have yet to go. Odds are good that there will *always* be someone better than you at something . . . OK, all that: 10 minutes seems to me pretty darn good for a first Fran. I know my first-ever date with her was about 14 minutes (my pullups were terrible). Unless you're already in awesome shape, I expect your time will come down a lot. Good times ahead (in both senses of the word). |

I second and third all that. 10 minutes ain't bad at all for a 1st fran, and I guarantee you'll beat it next time.
My first was 11:36 last May, my second, ~9:30, my third, ~8:00...you get the picture. Did my first sub 5 minute Fran in late Dec, who would have thought having one's lips turn blue from a workout would be so satisfying. |

Thanks for the input guys ! I know that CF is all about "you", but I didn't know if ten minutes was reasonable ya know; like in the ballpark for someone starting. I hear that "Fran" is a particularly hellacious WOD, and I am looking forward to all the rest. For now I am referencing Men's Journal's article and the WOD on the fron page and planning on working up to the full deal.
