How's my Snatch?

I'm a novice. This is 75 lbs. x 2 (1RM is 100):

Setup is fine. Make sure you stop swinging the bar in toward your hips and then out again. The squat looks fine - maybe lower by a few inches.

Re: How's my Snatch?

Not the worst I've seen for sure, you've got the jist of the movement. You don't appear to be completing your reps though, you start lowering the weight before you have stood it all the way up & reset your feet.

Re: How's my Snatch?

Agree with Andrew--try to get a more vertical bar path instead of swinging it out away from you. As the loads get heavier you'll lose reps to the front if you keep doing that. Think about jumping up during the second pull, not popping your hips forward like you do with a KB swing. Snatch pulls can help train that vertical motion.

Re: How's my Snatch?

Push through the heels more and practice some snatch pulls before snatching.
