WOD 7 June 09

Five rounds for time of:
75 pound Thrusters, 21 reps
21 Double-unders

here's how this went down....

75lbs is alot heavier than i remember it being. This was one of the more challenging workouts I've done. my time was 20:45, I tried to rest minimally, increasing my intensity is my goal for the next month. My guys were a mix of times matt;23:45, Pat; 25:00, Jeff (the only guy who could do the double unders without stopping) 21:40, and Jesse 32:00.

You mean you did it scaled. RX'd would have been 21 thrusters and 21 Double-unders.

You and me both. I did the first set unbroken, but after that it was 7-7-7 to save some shoulder power for the DU.

Re: WOD 7 June 09

First set was 11,5,5 on the thrusters

every set after went to 6,5,5,5

Can't remotely come close to double-unders yet so did 70 single-unders per set.

My time was 17:58, I honestly thought I would do better on the thrusters!!!!!!!!!

I'd never done more than 10 weak and unconfident double unders before this WOD, but I decided to just try them instead of the sub of tuck jumps (which are a brutally unfair sub). The DUs were inconsistent and a little frustrating, but I got through them more easily than I expected (unlike the thrusters). Try them next time!
