Re: How do you incorp vegetables in your diet

i had a similar issue, infact you could call it a phobia for greens, which i asked on this forum about.

thus far, what seems to work for me -

1. any veg like peppers, onions - diced and hidden inside an omelette
2. any leafy greens (kale, spinich) - steamed /boiled - tons of soy sauce or A1 sauce
3. "camouflaged" in mash potato, with lots of gravy
4. when all else fails, i buy this freeze-dried veg/fruit powder stuff and drink that..i tried juicing, hated it.

When you have the time, steam them. Probably shouldn't waste the water I've heard.

Or put them in a bowl, add salad dressing or vinaigrette. Add meat or cheese. Use a fork or eat with hands, preferably clean hands.

I've found tossing in an apple or two sweetens things up nicely.

Re: How do you incorp vegetables in your diet

As far as I understand it, the previous generation was keen on steaming and boiling their veggies, but that just lead to tasteless, soggy veg that we all hated to eat growing up. Just keep in mind that almost any veggie does well with a bit of browning (either from a pan or grill) and a good bit of salt and pepper. Never forget the salt and pepper!

I add fruit to sweeten it; have never added milk to them. I add water or Coconut water.

Re: How do you incorp vegetables in your diet

I'm kind of weird. Growing up I never liked cooked veggies that much.

I try to eat veggies with every meal, mainly through salads. In the morning I'll have a bowl of raw collards in a tuna salad. I'll put the tuna in the bowl and throw some mustard on it. Recently I took an older empty bottle of Olive oil and filled some of it up with more olive oil, recently some water (to dilute or spread the oil so I can use more liquid) and some horseradish mustard along with vinegar and shake the bottle up. BOOM! Salad dressing.

I'll go to Safeway and get a big bag of Collards or to the int'l store and pick it fresh. For the sake of time, I'll often roll with the bag.

Also I'll chop up celery and eat it like a bag of chips.

Overall making big salads have done the trick.

Peter Attia has said, "I eat vegetables, but primarily because they are a great way to get more fat (e.g., high-fat salad dressings, butter), not because I 'need' them."

Love that guy.

Just further emphasizes what a joke he is. Vegetables are very healthy and should be eaten, there is no debating that.
