Fran PR

Just pr'ed on my Fran time again! Last time I did Fran (1-24-10) I used 45lbs and finished in 5:52. Did it today with 65lbs, and finished in 4:44.13! Pushed as hard as I could and was exhausted at the end. One of the guys who was doing these painful looking squats with his toes pointed in just gawked at me my entire workout because I was grunting and screaming every rep and my lung were on fire. When I made eye contact at the end he just looked away...

I LOVE CROSSFIT

Also broke 205 1rep max squat, 235 1rep max deadlift, my last crossfit total

Re: Fran PR

Good stuff Alec!

Doing more weight in less time is a GREAT feeling.

Putting up some all right strength numbers too, considering your size and how freakin' fast you are. How's that going, btw?

Re: Fran PR

Season is over for track has been since beginning of february. My season went well for a freshman I think. My mile race, which was my first and only time I did the mile, was 5:34 but placed 2nd in my varsity race heat so I was happy about that. I was more of a 800 runner, and my pr was around 2:21. I did a few relays to and they were a freaking blast anchoring is such an adrenalin rush and collasping because my legs are so spent feels great for some reason. I am focused on lacrosse now playing mid field and defense, going to an endurance cert at the end of the month too.
My time this summer will be mostly running training, crossfit endurance with crossfit thrown in, to help me get ready for crosscountry.
I will break 18minutes I don't care if it kills me I will break it as a sophomore, going for 17 as a junior and gonna bank all the school records that is my goal!
