Re: Alex's Weakling Workout Log (Help greatly appreciated!)

I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK

So after attempting to do my own workout program, I decided "Bleh, this isn't working. That CrossFit was fun, let's do that." And with my new desk job, I now have the physical energy to work out.

It also happens that I initially began CrossFit one year ago today! I decided it would be fun to try the same workout that I did one year ago today to see how I improved.

The workout was:
200 stairs on stair climber
50 jump ropes
25 ab rollers

Last year's result: 5 rounds + 65 stairs
This year: 6 full rounds!

So despite gaining 25 pounds since last year, I seem to be more fit overall!

Re: Alex's Weakling Workout Log (Help greatly appreciated!)

I was ill for the last three days so I sat out from working out. Came back today with a 10 minute AMRAP to try to ease back in. Note to self: dumbbell snatches are not "easing back in"

10 minutes AMRAP:
30 dumbbell snatches 15#
30 dumbbell snatches 20#
30 dumbbell snatches 25#
30 dumbbell snatches 30#
AMRAP dumbbell snatches 35#

Didn't get to the 35# but completed the other four rounds. I gotta lay off the Jello.

Re: Alex's Weakling Workout Log (Help greatly appreciated!)

Learned a valuable lesson today about my limit.

http://wodgeball.wordpress.com/2013/08/28/limit/ (wfs)

I'll be posting WODs there from now on. I also write about a lot of stuff so you should check it out.

Anyway, this workout might be fun for some of you guys:

"The Beast" - 6 rounds for time
6 roman chairs (or chest-to-bar pull-ups if you're up for it)
6 dumbbell snatches
