Looking at newest thread on page 1 not last page

Alright, I looked around for this and couldn't find anything. I thought I saw somewhere (like in the profile area) that you could change how you view the posts with either the newest thread on the first page or on the last page.
For some reason I can't get it out of my head that it would be easier to see the latest thread up front and not have to click on page 2 or the last page. Should I just click on "New Posts" at the top or am I just going crazy like talking to "Hal" on the movie 2010:A Space Odyssey or whatever it was? Sorry but if it's really possible, I just gotta know. Ok, I'm better now whatever the outcome.

Under Thread Mode display in Edit Options change it to Linear - Newest First.
