Monday, Nov 15th

SKill work: KB snatch...I practiced this with 18 lbs

Metcon:
30 KB thrusters to start ( 1 pd)
5 RDS: 5 KB snatches each arm (18 lb)
20 KB swings (1pd)
30 burpees

14:12

I feel like I am struggling with the KB swings once the weight gets heavier and/or I am tired...I really felt them in my lower back today...Sammy told me to make sure I am not rounding my back and that I am using my hips...so I will focus on that next time.

Tuesday, Nov 16th

Turkish get-up skill work, work up to a heavy 1-3 reps. 2 reps each side of a TGU with 5 presses at each position. rest as needed between sides and reps. positions are: floor, elbow, hand, bridge, lunge, top, lunge, bridge, hand, elbow, floor. KB may not be set down. Go as heavy as possible.

I did the first round with an 8 lbs and the second round with a 12lbs
It was pretty tough!

Thursday, November 18th

“Jabroni” - 50 KB swings (1.5/1), 40 push-ups, 30 box jumps (24/20), 40 burpees, 50 KB snatches (25 each arm. 1.5/1 pood).

I used 1pd for the KB swings, did knee pushups, and used 20lbs for the snatches...this one was really tough!

Monday, 11/22

Weighted box jumps 5 X 5...heaviest set was with 18lbs

3 rounds for time: 40 box jumps, 30 KB swings (2/1.5), 20 pistols (10 each side. sub KB loaded lunges).


I did the KB loaded lunges with 1 pood and the swing with 1 pood as well.

1 min handstand hold
1 min plank
20 lunges each leg
15 burpees

Monday 11/29

KB jump squats (goblet style), 4 sets of 5. did a peak set of 1 pd in each hand

Metcon: 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1: KB squats (1.5/1 in each hand), KB romanian deadlifts (same weight), KB floor presses (both at one time).

I used 18 lbs KBs for the metcon...it felt a little light...I finished in a little over 10 min...after the metcon I tried a few cleans and squats with the 30 lb KBs and that felt more challenging...might try that next time.


Tuesday, 11/30

Max pullup

Worked up to peak of mini band plus 2.5 which is a 2.5 lb PR...I'll take it!

METCON:

6 rounds for time: 6 HSPU, 9 Renegade rows (L and R=1, NO PUSHUP. 1.5/1), 12 single leg squats (to box or pistols)

I did knee pushups, used 20 lbs KBs for the renegade rows, and used the box for the single leg squats.

Monday, 12/6

plyo pushups, 5×5.
5 rounds : 2 Turkish getups each side, 20 box jumps, 1m front plank.

Five rounds for max reps of:
Body weight bench press
Pull-ups, (strict)

I used the average band for pullups and 55lbs for bench presses

10/13, 11/14, 12/15, 15/14, 11/12

I probably should have used the light band and will next time....





Tuesday, Dec 14th

Regular old gym cardio workout since I couldn't make it to CF

I did 10 min on the rower, followed by 20 min on the ellipital and 10 min on the stair stepper

Amrap 20m: 5 forward rolls 20 kb snatches (10/10 each side. 1.5/1p) 30 lunges (15/15)

I got 6 rounds + 2 forward rolls


I used the 20 lb KB

Man, those forward rolls made me dizzy and made my head hurt for about an hour after the WOD! I used to be able to do a ton of them as a kid! I guess I'm getting old
