Olympic Lifing shoes

Anyone have the Nike Romaloes??
http://www.roguefitness.com/store/we...ting_shoes.php (w/f/s)

or the new Adidas Power Perfect II??
http://www.dynamic-eleiko.com/ (w/f/s)

Opinions? personal preference?
I've got a pair of Adidas weightlifting shoes that I've had for about 6 years now. Just thinking of getting some new toys to play with.

I have the Romaleos...I LOVE THEM! I have had a couple of different kinds, Adidas, Do-Wins...but the Romaleos are my favorite...though...I do believe it is personal preference...

I've got Romaleos and love them. Expensive, but love them.

I have Ristos and LOVE them. From what they say, they are the official supplier of the US Weightlifting team. They also now have a new Burgener shoe that come with a Burg T-Shirt

Re: Olympic Lifing shoes

I got some Romeleos for my birthday and love them. My old shoes are Adidas Adistars. The Nikes are more comfortable and feel like they have much more lateral stability. The heals flare out a little on the way to the soles which I think is the cause of this. Whatever the reason, they feel a lot better in a deep squat than the Adidas and any other shoe that I have tried. One of my clients also switched from some old shoes that had worn out and will not stop talking about how much better the Nike's are.

Should olympic lifting shoes be used in the push press/jerk/strict?

Nah... most olympic lifters take off their shoes after they clean the weight THEN jerk. My real answer is... sure, why not?

On topic. I have Romaleos and they're absolutely fantastic. Extremely high quality shoe and the fit and comfort is top notch! Definitely recommend them if you have the money.

Only if having a solid, uncompressable foundation matters to you.

Re: Olympic Lifing shoes

I just got my Romaleos today. Length wise they fit great and they are a quality shoe. Width wise, they are pretty tight on the outside balls of my feet. I recall someone else talking about this tightness so hopefully they will loosen up. Anyone else have this issue?
