Re: Bumper Plates

I do not know about the others, but we really abuse our Hi-Temp bumpers, and they are still like new after being used in a busy affiliate for years.

I have never heard of a Hi-Temp bumper failing.

Where did you get your quote for Wright? You sure that price is including shipping? It doesn't look like it.

Even if the Wright ones do fail, they gaurentee them for life. A pain maybe to get in contact and send pics, etc, but still, gaurenteed.

And Charlie, have you gotten a quote from Wright and ask Jason for the Crossfit discount? Because for 220 lbs of bumpers AND a bar. my shipping was only $112. Jason worked out the bumpers to $1/lb before shipping, so $230 plus $112 (yours should be much less w/o a Bar) you're at $342. I would think about $300ish is right for the Wright Bumpers. This is assuming black bumpers also.

I did ask Jason and he said $270 for the 230 lb black bumper set + $119 shipping to NY = $389. Why is my shipping quote more than yours when you're further away in Maine and had a bar shipped?

Right now I am leaning towards getting the Rogue Hi-Temps but I would get the Wright bumpers if it cost $300 shipped.

No reviews for the Pendlay Econs? Does the Rogue Hi-Temps have a lifetime guarantee?

Don't know man, but here's my invoice so you know I'm not screwin with you. That seems weird to me. You def asked for the crossfit discount from Jason? Maybe he cut shipping because I did buy a bar too? some sorta package discount or something?

They're good guys and I bet they can hook you up. But I'm spoiled, I can get there in 20 minutes.

Re: Bumper Plates

I just got my Wright Rubber and Jason Hughes cut me a smokin' deal. However, depending on how much weight you are interested in acquiring it may be difficult to stay within your price point.

It also depends on your location, but craigslist can be a great option, which I am sure you have tried by now. I waited for 6 months looking on craigslist every single day and never found a better deal on rubber weight than what I could get at Rogue Fitness (if you don't count the shipping).

I finally broke down and spent my tax return on the garage gym, but it was the best decision I have made since I started CF.

Good luck, my friend!

Joshua

Re: Bumper Plates

I'm about to order the 230 lb set from Rogue. I know what you're going through. You really can't go wrong with any of the three, they all have good reps for quality and service.

Re: Bumper Plates

My only concern about the Rogues are the width. I checked with Wright about shipping, and they are indeed just about the same after. And that was going to be my cheap way out ) I think I might be able to consolodate shipping cost if I order the Pendlays since I'm ordering their HD bar, but I need to get a quote from Rogue now to really compare all three.
