VS or Rogue Weightlifting Shoes?

I've searched every thread that came up when I looked up "weightlifting shoes," so please don't say search Anyways, after reading everything, I ended up being stuck on either:

the white VS shoes: http://www.vsathletics.com/product.php?xProd=1301(wfs)

or the Rogue shoes: http://www.roguefitness.com/store/rogue_dowins.php (wfs)

The other choices that people liked were Pendlay and Adidas, but $150 for the adidas and $120 for the pendlays is a little over budget. So comparing the two shoes I picked out, does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not sure about what the best heel height is, I know the VS is 1.1'' and the Rogue is .75''. Does this discrepency make a big difference in any of the lifts?

From what I understand, the Dynamos are the same as the white shoe; just made from a different material.

Dynamos are the only lifting shoe I have experience with; but it deffinately is an improvement over running shoes.

I think if you search the boards there is a thread will Bill actually addresses this and says they are very different shoes in many ways.

I got the Dynamos and am happy with em.

Looking at the two shoes' specs, it says they are the same except for the material that the shoe is made of. From the site:

White
•Leather upper & sole plate w/hard rubber material on bottom of shoe.

Black (dynamo)
•Suede upper w/hard rubber material on bottom of shoe.

When I first searched about weightlifting shoes, I didn't come across a thread like the one you said. I'll try again and see what turns up. Thanks for your personal experience, although I'm not a fan of the black shoe. Hopefully the white one is just as good.

I use Dynamos and love them. VS is popular at my gym. I don't think you'll go wrong with them

Re: VS or Rogue Weightlifting Shoes?

I just got my Ristos in the mail today and had to show them off somewhere. They are more expensive than the vs and do-wins but I think they're pretty sweet and you can customize them if you wish. You can choose colors, heel height, straps, embroidery, etc.

As for if they make a difference....I have some ankle flexibility issues and I could notice an immediate difference in my squat depth and comfort. I could never keep my feet this close together and get under parallel normally.

Re: VS or Rogue Weightlifting Shoes?

How does the sizing of the VS and the Rogue compare to like a running shoe or a Chuck Taylor style shoe?

I wear a size 10 in Chuck Taylor high-tops, and a size 11 in an Asics running shoe. Was your running shoe size the same as the weightlifting shoe size?

Thanks!

Tim
